What is the ratchet?
The longest gap between pouches you've already proven you can do. It only ever tightens; changing taper speed or pausing never loosens it. Sleep doesn't count toward it, so it always means real, awake time.
What happens if I slip?
Taking one early is logged and noted, but nothing resets. The schedule simply holds until you're back. After your quit date, a relapse restarts a seven-day landing, not the whole program.
Why do the first three days feel like nothing is happening?
That's the Observe phase. The app watches how you actually use pouches (how many per day, how long they stay in) so the plan starts from your real baseline instead of a guess.
Is my data private?
Your log lives on your phone. No account, no cloud, and your doses are never uploaded. The app does send crash reports (Sentry) and anonymous usage analytics (Firebase) to help fix bugs and improve it; neither includes your log. You can export everything as JSON from Settings, or erase it by deleting the app.
Can I change how fast the taper goes?
Yes. The gap between pouches grows about 5% a day by default, and you can slow that down or speed it up whenever you like from Settings. Slowing down never costs you the ratchet: the longest gap you've already proven stays proven, so a slower schedule only changes what happens next, never what you've already banked.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. The Live Activity on the lock screen and Dynamic Island is core to how Unpouch works, and it's iOS-only. Android may come later.
Does Unpouch give medical advice?
No. The app schedules; it never advises. The nicotine curve is an estimate from your own logs, not a measurement. For medical questions, talk to a clinician.
